CASES OF INTERNATIONAL APPROPRIATION
It is common in families with cross-border elements, i.e. when the parents come from a different country of origin or have a different settlement, due to problems in married cohabitation, that one of the two or another member of the family circle moves or sends the minor(s) from his place of habitual residence to another place often in the territorial
territory of another state. These cases, which are briefly included in the meaning of the term "international child abduction", beyond the direct consequences they bring to parents and children, are characterized by complexity due to their criminal and civil aspects and also due to the simultaneous application of international and national legal texts.
